Goal: Increase daily activity
No matter how often it’s said to be more active you have to feel like being more active. It’s not easy to accomplish in today’s hustle and bustle time devouring day. Work family responsibilities all play a part in why we would or would not be moving more. All the ways aren’t needed to be mentioned. The point is there is always a reason to why we aren’t. So what’s to be done about it?
Challenge : Get Moving.
Whether your day is at a desk or on a couch you can get moving. The challenge is how long can you stay dedicated to a physical task throughout your day. Test yourself .
Point & Flex
- While sitting up straight extend legs so both heels of feet are on the floor. Begin to point your right toe hold for five seconds. Flex back hold for five seconds. Alternative to left foot. Try to continue for as long as you can. Remember the goal is to test yourself. There is no set time to complete.
In & Out
- Sit up straight. Inhale and pull abdominal muscles in ( try to make your belly button touch your spine) Exhale slowly out. Complete as many times as you can. Keep track to check your improvement
Punch the clock
- Sitting up straight make two fists. Lift fists up as if you are going to punch a bag. Focus on time on a clock, when the time goes up one minute begin by punching straight out. Left fist. Right fist. Repeat until one minute passes. Speed and accuracy is based on your judgement. Try to improve to longer increments of time. Count if you’d like. Sing if you’d like. It’s totally up to you.
